Residences at Rocky Point

Residences at Rocky Point is a 21-story luxury apartment tower planned by Costis-Lifsey Development and American Land Ventures on the Old Tampa Bay waterfront at 2425 Rocky Point Drive, the longtime home of the Rusty Pelican restaurant, which the tower replaces. Designed by Cube 3 with RSP Architects, the roughly $187 million building holds 252 residences, many laid out as two-level floor plans averaging about 1,175 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling glass facing the bay and the Tampa skyline. The ground plane is shaped around the water, with a waterfront infinity pool, beachside cabanas and a two-story resident lobby, while a wellness spa, fitness center, sports lounge and clubroom fill out the amenity program. Its signature is an 8,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant open to the public, a nod to the Rusty Pelican's long run as a Rocky Point dining landmark. The structure is engineered for the exposed causeway site, with hurricane-resistant windows, backup generators, deep foundations and shoreline stabilization designed around 100-year flood scenarios.
